Is there some unwritten rule that states women need to use the pinkest, least masculine bag to hold things they want men to carry with them on the street in broad daylight? Don't get me wrong...when my sister gave me a bag full of snacks and candy that was left over from her wedding...I was thrilled to receive it.....but had I the time to consider the negative brand equity associated with walking up 31st street this morning with an enormous pink bag on my shoulder (which I tried to carry as though it were a bag of highly poisonous snakes dipped in kryptonite and hydrochloric acid and lava)....I might have reconsidered it's value to me.
