REBUTTAL
I thought I would just chime in with a small rebuttal to the previous post, as made by my husband. I feel that as wife and soon-to-be mother, I am entitled.
To begin with, I would like to make it clear that I am on the fence about whether or not I think its appropriate to "blog" our personal lives out to the world. But, because I am also not staunchly against it - nor, can I seem to will myself to step on Chris's wonderful sense of enthusiasm and unbridled excitement - I will allow it....for now.
That being said - I beg to differ with a few of Chris's points below.
The baby is, indeed, a girl. We are very excited - nothing to refute here. We will also, as Chris mentioned, continue to refer to her as The Admiral - if you've got something good, after all, stick with it. We're too attached to change at this point.
Here's where we come to the part where I slapped my hand against my forehead - WE HAVE NOT DECIDED ON A NAME. How can you name the kid before she's here?
Now, don't get me wrong, we have a nice list of names in mind - some we agree on, some we don't. But, I am convinced that she will arrive and I will know which of these names our lovely little nugget will be. Or, maybe it will be none of the above and we'll feel compelled to name her after the lovely nurse who will have administered to me many, many drugs during childbirth...either way...the name has NOT been designated. So there.
Actually, that might be the only point I needed to refute. Again, please remember, that since Chris is the writer in the family, he will be posting most of these entries - and he doesn't show them to me before he publishes them.
