Reading is Fundamental
Lucy just loves to read....especially out loud to herself. The fact that she doesn't know how to read likely only makes the task more enjoyable to her. I finally caught it on video:
NOTE: The book is upside down. Also note that she says, "One Day..." every now and then. I think a while ago there was a string of stories we read to her that began with those words so she just kind of worked into the narrative of every page.
