Mr & Mrs. George Best...A love Story (Part 2)

A few weeks out from their first meeting, George Best and Ginger Anne Sanborn reunited for the next phase of their highly public courtship. With cameras rolling and parents keenly positioned to take in all the action...the tale of these star-crossed lovers continued with a recent play date....

Things started off serenely - with George and Ginger sharing some mat time...

Perhaps a little nervous about the prospect of sharing such close quarters with her future husband (and all the psychological baggage that entails) Ginger decided to throw up on her hand to cool the butterflies. George - initially nonplussed by Ginger's gastro-centric approach - retained his cool demeanor.

Eager to impress, George made his first real move of the afternoon's courtship session by letting Ginger examine his impressive dome. Ginger, pretending not to be impressed (though clearly she was) gazed off at the ceiling.

Frustrated by the apparent ineffectiveness of his first move, George ripped a few pages from the "let them come to you" playbook of baby courtship and went for the jugular.

Ginger - calling on a centuries-old Sanborn tradition of eluding larger, more powerful opponents with quickness and cunning - managed to unhinge George's kung-fu grip on her neck and calmly considered her next move.

George - now recovering from his sudden burst of uncontrolled male desire...seemed to recognize that his aggressive move was ill-timed and he searched for the appropriate way to make amends.

Thinking he could play it off as a fun little game he was trying to play with Ginger, George said, "See - then after I touch your neck with my nose...I roll over 2 times and touch my hand to my toes.....see Ginger?....right?....get it?....toes?....hello?....Ginger?....Niner?.......Are you mad?.....Why are you mad?....Ok don't answer that...I...I was just...I don't....I'm....bad boy...

Ginger was about to tell George that it was cool...and that he could just relax but sensing he was on the brink of loosing her trust forever, George latched himself to Ginger's arm and begged forgiveness. Ginger - unsure of how to react...looked to Mommy for some counsel.

Mommy explained to Ginger that sometimes men don't always think with their heads (regardless of how impressive those heads might be) and that Ginger would, in fact, not be around if Mommy didn't give Daddy a break every now and then too. This seemed to make some kind of instinctive sense to Ginger and she told George that he was still her number one guy - but that he should take it easy. George said, "That's cool....hey - check out my awesome head..." to which Ginger responded..."Here we go again."

And that concluded this chapter in the fairly tale courtship of Mr. & Mrs. George and Ginger Best. Stay tuned for the next installment...
